WARRANTY

We provide 24 months warranty for our electrical equipment, construction and operations. We also provide as an option on site warranty.
The NEWTON TRANFORMATORI transformer has a three-year warranty and can be extended to 5 years.
Our company provides you with 24-hour technical telephone service, and repair by our technician within 12 hours.

Medium Voltage Outdoor Substation for Photovoltaic Plant

1. Metal House

Sturdy metallic standard outdoor substation with visit doors with safety locks.

The substation is fully grounded and provides complete protection to the electrical material inside from weather conditions. It also has a thermostat that provides adequate ventilation with natural circulation (blinds) and forced ventilation for proper ventilation of the transformer compartment.

The dimensions of the house are 3500X2500X3000mm (LxWxHmm) and is divided into three compartments (medium voltage, transformer, low voltage). The roof is made of 40mm insulation panel (polyurethane). The substation has an internal lighting installation.

Each room is accessible through metal doors that allow easy access, handling and maintenance or replacement of the equipment.

The house has a fault warning or warning system for the operation of the transformer and the installation. It has an IP66 certification lighthouse and siren, suitable for outdoor facilities.

2. Transformer Compartment

Eco-design oil immersed transformer made by the Italian company NEWTON TRANSFORMATORI, suitable for PV parks in accordance with the European Directive EU 548/14 low loss (meets Eco-Design standard) power of 20/0.4kV, has the following characteristics:

The transformer is equipped with a thermometer (indication in C) which has two electrical contacts – one for audio and visual signaling in case of overheating and one for automatic shutdown of the transformer if the temperature reaches a dangerous level.

3. Medium Voltage Apartment

Medium Voltage electrical panel consists of three panels: Grid Panel (load disconnector), Measurement Panel and Feeder Panel. The characteristics is for Schneider Electric or Siemens or ABB Switchboard, depending on availability.

Measurement Panel

  • Three medium voltage fuses 6A
  • Three (3) instrumentation transformers
  • Three fuses for the protection of the above mentioned transformers

Feeder Panel

(Substations greater than 800KVA)

General Dimensions: LxDxH: (750Χ1292Χ2000) mm

Includes the following main equipment:

  • Copper busbar 630A
  • 24kV, 630A load disconnector in earthed housing with electrically operated (230V AC) dual spring operation mechanism. The mechanism is provided with coils of opening and closing and auxiliary position contacts of the earth disconnector and fused safety disconnectors.
  • Circuit Breaker SF6 24kV/630A/16kA equipped with remote control motor, coils of opening, closing, auxiliary position contacts and locks.
  • Three (3) 50 / 1A 2.5VA-5P10 voltage sensor
  • Schneider Electric Protection Relay with Ethernet providing the following 50/51, 50N / 51N, 27, 59, 59N, 81L, 81H and 79 protections. More protections are available upon request.
  • Manually operated cable grounding mechanism mechanically interlocked with the above grounding
  • Three capacitive voltage dividers with corresponding indicator lamps
  • Suitable sockets for connecting power cables

Feeder Panel

(Substations smaller than 800KVA)

General Dimensions: LxDxH: (500X1070X2000) mm

Includes the following main equipment:

  • Copper busbar 630A
  • 24kV, 630A load disconnector in earthed housing with electrically operated (230V AC) dual spring operation mechanism. The mechanism is provided with coils of opening and closing and auxiliary position contacts of the earth disconnector and fused safety disconnectors
  • Fuses mechanically locked with the above grounding
  • Fuses with 24KV / 25A striker pin
  • Current Sensors (3) 50 / 1A 2.5VA-5P10
  • Schneider Electric Protection Relay with Ethernet providing the following 50/51, 50N / 51N, 27, 59, 59N, 81L, 81H and 79 protections. More protections are available upon request.

4. Low Voltage Compartment

  • Metal Enclosure made by Rittal, consisting of ABB or Siemens MCCBs for the protection of the transformer and the plants Inverter. The above is mounted on a Riline system (Rittal’s patent). Weidmuller’s Surge Protection devices type T1+2.
  • Transfromers and PV plant’s protection system
  • Legrand UPS power supply 2000KVA for sufficient operation of the auxiliary circuit

Automation System

Remote PV

  • Remote engaging and disarming of the Medium Voltage Panel Switchboard
  • Measurement and Logging of all electrical values (kwh, kw, V, A etc.)
  • Substation Diagnostic Functions
  • Remote supervision of the entire Substation and by extension of the entire Plant
